MILITARY INSTITUTE OF ENGINEER TECHNOLOGY in Wrocław kindly invites you to participate in 9th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE dedicated to: „Military engineering – problems and perspectives". under honorary patronage of Ministry of National Defence's Chief of Military Engineering
AIM OF THE CONFERENCE
The aim of the Conference is identification of capabilities and needs, as well as search for solutions which influence effective in-theatre performance of military engineering support operations, with focus on force protection and protection of civilian population. The Conference also intends to encourage intensification of co-operation between the military and civilian research organizations and the industry in order to respond to and satisfy requirements and needs of the military.
SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE
- detection, disposal and removal of explosive ordnance (EOD) and improvised explosive devices (IEDs);
- novel methods of neutralizing hazardous materials without the presence of the explosion component;
- robotisation of the battlefield;
- preparation and maintenance of roads, crossings and airfields;
- engineer barriers and demolition works;
- camouflage and reconnaissance means and camouflage military equipment and reconnaissance equipment vs. status quo and army requirements;
- restoration and reclamation of natural environment contaminated with explosive remnants of war (ERW) – humanitarian demining;
- temporary storage and transport of hazardous materials;
- field fortifications and force protection barriers;
- military water supply;
- protection of critical infrastructure against terrorist attacks;
- conventional and alternative energy sources on the battlefield.
CONFERENCE PARTICIPATION
We welcome the participation of both the representatives of academia, as well as persons practically tackling with various aspect of military engineering tasks performed inland, while combating terrorism and during peace-keeping missions and stabilization missions abroad.

- conference date and venue: 43rd or 44thweek of 2012, Wroclaw (Poland)
- publication of Announcement No.2: until March, 10th 2012
- submission of participation forms: until May 30th, 2012
- submission of papers: until August 20th, 2012
